forgotten hero - tony stark

Watching the 2nd trailer for Iron Man 2?  An epiphany.  Well, a reminder of an earlier epiphany anyway.  Bar none, “Tony Stark” (even sans his Iron Man persona) is one of my all time heroes.  Why?  Hmmm.  Could it be his unrepentant, in-your-fucking-face patriotism?  His unwavering belief in one man’s abilty to change the world?  To save it?  Perhaps his dapper fashion sense and way with the ladies (even though he was somehow brainwashed into settling for a ‘lady’ such as Gwenneth-Gag-Paltrow)?

Of course.

But there’s more.

Something… stronger.

More specific.

More… compelling.

For me.  Personally.  Any guesses?

If anyone can tell me what it is about Tony Stark that makes him one of my personal idols, I will pay you the sum of… Seven.  Dollars.
