say the magic words: happiness edition

July 24, 2010 by cash · Leave a Comment

Two words.  To change your world.  To save your life.  Would you say them if I told you what they were?  Would you believe them and reap the countless benefits they offer?  Maybe.  I have hope.  Thanks to two people.  Tracy and my lovely girlfriend.  Of all the things I’m proud of regarding TGOC, this may be the biggest.  Hearing them use these two words to describe their own experience?  To honor it?  To improve it?  Overwhelms me with happiness.

What are these two magic words? Ones you hear me say on TGOC all the time:

“Cash Life”.

Or, in their cases “Tracy Life” and “Eve Life”.  These two words symbolize an acceptance of my “happiness equation”.  An equation so profound, yet simple that it’s power can’t be described.

What the hell is this ‘happiness equation?’ Read more

There are certain things that sicken me about the human race.  Materialism.  Envy.  Girls in flip flops.  One thing in particular though is as shitty as it is surprising; the lack of gratitude in the world.  When someone does something for you, they’re usually making a sacrifice of some kind.  Human nature is inherently selfish.  Giving up something for someone else is a huge act that deserves to be properly rewarded.  With what?  Gratitude.  Sincere, heartfelt gratitude.  A simple, singular ‘thank you’ isn’t nearly enough.

I’ve been called a lot of things in my day; pervert (duh), weirdo (usually), charlatan (as if).  One name you’ll never hear used to describe me?  “Ingrate”.  Why?  Read more

What if I told you I could make you a superstar in the eyes of your friends, family and lovers?  That two common household items could completely change the dynamic of your relationships?   Your reputation?  Your life?  What if I told you to give me a pack of Turkish Royals before I go on?  No you shut up.

The secret to making an amazing impression on people, endearing yourself to them and improving yourself in the process?

Should cost you less than $3.

likability week on TGOC

One of my proudest discoveries yet can be summed up in the following, (somewhat sinister sounding) quote:

All power achieved without maximum likability will be hard won and short lived.

-cash

Why should you care?

Good question.

I’ll ask one in return:

Are you really that dumb?

All people, whether subconsciously or not, want more power.  Power creates freedom of choice.  Power creates freedom period.  If you fancy yourself a friend of freedom, you need to do everything you can to increase yours.

The easiest way (and therefore the only way) to get started? Read more
